| I've always been a writer, too. I've written articles for two Nashville newspapers, The Tennessean and The Banner, and for Country Music Magazine, Guitar Player Magazine, Music City News and a few other publications. I've had two short stories in Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine and I do a blog at Steel Guitar Insanity. Now, in the era of ebooks, I have two murder mysteries published. Here's my author profile at my publisher, Smashwords, and my page at Amazon's Author Central. |

Chevy SummerIt's 1963, before the Beatles and the Kennedy assassination. It's a lazy summer with nothing for the teenagers in the small town of Calhoun, just outside Cincinnati, to worry about except rock'n'roll, drag racing, and dancing. But then the murders begin. The Beast From the Back of the Bus |

On July 19, 2011 Joseph Chinnok, who runs a business called A Writers Collective, contacted me with a request to design 2 book covers for him. The covers were designed and emailed to him and he approved them and paid $60 with PayPal. On Aug 31 he started a chargeback on PayPal, claiming unauthorized use of his credit card, and PayPal debited my account $60 plus $20 for the fee to them from the credit card company. Apparently Chinnock is aware of PayPal's policy of not extending any sellers' protection to digital goods - ebook covers, in my case - and he's using that to get his money back on design jobs. So, if you're a writer looking for a publisher, try to avoid this internet predator. You can read about his sorry criminal ass on the Ripoff Report.
